Craftsmanship & Materials
Purpose in every detail
Every Chronosport is built with intent. Materials, finishes, and movements are chosen for performance, longevity, and reliability. These watches are designed to endure, perform, and instill confidence — every component and every design decision serves a function.
Movements — Swiss Performance and Reliability at the Heart
At its heart, every Chronosport begins with its movement. We offer only Swiss-made movements in every watch in both quartz and mechanical automatics, each selected for clear strengths.
Quartz movements provide precision and convenience: accurate to the second, low-maintenance, and always ready when you are. They deliver dependable performance without distraction — the grab-and-go reliability a sporty watch should offer.
Mechanical automatics offer a different experience. Powered by the motion of the wrist, they run without electronics or batteries, relying on a system of gears, springs, and balance wheels. The steady sweep of the seconds hand and the mechanical artistry visible through a sapphire display back create a connection that quartz cannot replicate. It’s craft, heritage, engineering in motion, and connection.
Chronosport uses Swiss-made Ronda quartz and Sellita automatic movements; among the most trusted and reliable in the world. Whether you prefer the accuracy and simplicity of quartz or the heritage and tactile presence of mechanical, each watch is built on a foundation you can trust.

Stainless Steel — Built for Purpose
Every Chronosport begins with 316L stainless steel — the industry standard and our material of choice for its corrosion resistance, durability, and hypoallergenic qualities. Trusted in demanding environments from marine to medical, it provides the strength and stability a true sport watch demands.
Finishing is never cosmetic alone. Brushed surfaces resist scratches and reduce glare, polished details highlight critical edges, and bead-blasted textures create a matte, non-reflective surface with added grip. Each application is chosen with intent, balancing form and function.
The result is straightforward: stainless steel that not only defines the look of a Chronosport, but ensures it performs with the same purpose as every other component inside and out.
Sapphire — Clarity and Strength
Sapphire crystal is our standard across every Chronosport watch. Chosen for its exceptional hardness and scratch resistance, it preserves clarity even in demanding conditions. Anti-reflective coatings enhance legibility, while sapphire display backs on automatic models provide a durable window into the movement.
Every sapphire component is selected for function first: maximum visibility, long-lasting performance, and protection where it matters most.

Lume — Confidence in Low Light
Chronosport uses Swiss Super-LumiNova BWG9 to ensure hands and markers remain visible when light fades. Nearly white in daylight, its bright, long-lasting blue-green glow combines clarity with a crisp, visually appealing hue, maintaining readability in any environment.
This isn’t an aesthetic afterthought; it’s a practical feature chosen to provide confidence and reliability whenever you need it.
Water Resistance — Engineered for Pressure
Chronosport watches are built for life in and around the water, with ratings from 10 to 20 ATM. That’s more than everyday protection — it’s confidence you can count on.
ATM (atmospheres) is the standard measure of water resistance in watches:
- 10 ATM (100 meters): ready for swimming, snorkeling, and active use in and out of the water.
- 20 ATM (200 meters): engineered for serious pressure — from surfing to diving and everything in between.
These ratings represent more than lab tests. They reflect a level of engineering designed to keep your watch sealed, secure, and performing no matter where you take it.
From rain to surf, from the pool to open water, every Chronosport is built to handle the elements — so you can focus on the adventure, not the conditions.

Built With Intent
Every component of a Chronosport is selected with purpose. Materials are honest. Construction is solid.
Every specification is chosen to ensure the watch performs reliably in the real world.
The result is simple: a watch built to be ready for any test.
