A STORIED NAME IN WATCH HISTORY THOUGHT LOST TO THE AGES… SOARS AGAIN

The Origins of Chronosport

Chronosport is a storied watch brand with roots in motorsport, aviation, diving, and military service—wherever accurate, reliable timekeeping in all conditions wasn’t a luxury, but a necessity.

Founded in Bath, England, in 1963 by P.T. “Pat” Barnard, Chronosport began as a mail-order supplier of high-end timepieces for racers, divers, and adventurers. Barnard became a familiar fixture in paddocks, dive shops, and airfields across the UK and Europe, delivering some of the most iconic sport watches of the day directly to the hands of adventurers and enthusiasts—bypassing traditional dealer networks to sell direct to end-users.

The Chronosport Collection is Born

In 1970, Barnard began introducing his own line of Chronosport-branded watches, produced by many of the same makers featured in his catalogs—names behind some of the era’s most sought-after sport watches. These early models carried the DNA of today’s Chronosport: robust, purpose-built, and honest in design.

Chronosport comes to the US

By the mid-1970s, the brand changed hands and found a second life in North America. Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Chronosport remained visible—largely through rugged dive watches sold out of local dive shops and via mail order—but over time, the brand gradually lost momentum and fell silent by the end of the millennium.

The Return of Chronosport

Now, after decades away, Chronosport returns—with its original spirit fully intact.

Built with purpose. Made to last. Ready for whatever comes next.

Chronosport was born in an era when a wristwatch wasn’t an accessory—it was a vital tool. Found on the wrists of those pushing limits:

The pilot breaking the sound barrier.
The diver mapping the ocean floor.
The driver chasing tenths.
The engineer shaping tomorrow.

That’s the legacy we’re proud to carry forward.
And we’re ready to go wherever you go next.
